# Save social posts on iPhone

Keep public Threads, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok posts beside your saved articles. Share a post’s link to ReadShore, check the source, and save it for later in Shore.

## How do I save a post?

Open the post’s sharing options and choose the iPhone share sheet, then ReadShore. Check that the preview points to the post you want and tap Save. If ReadShore is missing, look in More. Share options differ between apps; when needed, open the post’s public link in Safari and share it from there.

Wait for Saved before closing the sheet. You can save the link while an optional preview is still loading. Later, open Shore and search your collection by words, source or platform.

## What stays with each post?

Threads: the post link and available public wording. A picture supplied with the share may appear in the preview; the account’s profile picture is not treated as the post’s image.

Instagram: the post link, available public caption and a representative post image when accessible. A saved link does not promise that every picture in a carousel is retained.

Facebook: the post link, available public wording and a representative image when accessible. Share the individual public post rather than a group or profile page.

TikTok: the post link, available caption and preview thumbnail. Keeping these does not mean the complete video, audio or transcript has been saved.

## Can I get an AI summary?

When readable post text is available and you have enabled Summary & Analysis, ReadShore can use that text to help you understand the saved item. A caption or excerpt can support a summary of those words; it does not establish what an entire video says or shows.

Saving the link and producing an AI result are separate actions. You can return to the original even when no readable text or summary is available.

## What if a post is private or unavailable?

ReadShore does not sign in to your social accounts or retrieve private, restricted or login-only posts. A platform can limit public access, and a post can change or disappear after you save it.

If the preview looks incomplete, check the original before relying on it. Keep the post link to return to its source; saving it does not guarantee a permanent copy of the post’s text, images or video.
